Yes, i am planning to lift a 2WD XJ.... i dont want to hear all the him haw about it.
Question comes down to what exactly will i all need? i will post a list of everything i can come up with that i am planning on doing.. if anyone has somewhere that has a better price on something surely let me know!
Lift:

Rims are covered.. i have 15x8 procomp 7031 wheels.

I have heard i may or may not need a drop pitman arm... please let me know.
Besides that, what else do i NEED if anything else for a 2WD lift?

How old are the current spring packs on the Jeep? If they're older I would recommend replacing the entire spring pack instead of the AAL. Also, I would go ahead and do the drop pitman arm. My local alignment shops wouldn't touch mine without it.

Ideally:
Adjustable upper and lower control arms.
Adjustable trackbar
Slip Yoke eliminator and CV driveshaft
Extended brake lines
Coil springs
Full leaf packs with shackles
Extended bumpstops
Tires and wheels obviously
Upgraded steering stabilizer
Shocks
Sway bar quick discos
Axle degree shims
You will be 100% fine without a dropped pitman arm, I would suggest bar pin eliminators for the shocks, it makes changing them out not a pain. This is a list of an ideal kit, once you do it you wont look back. It is MUCH better to spend the cash at once and get it all done than replace your leaf springs when the AAL sags, or end up getting adjustable arms and track bar because your alignment is messed up. The overall ride and performance is so much better when you do it right. Doing the bare minimum is good for looks and thats about all.

You don't need a new or "upgraded" steering stabilizer unless yours is leaking.
Just get full spring packs and good coil springs. I doubt you'll need new brake lines if you're only driving on the road. Also, you only need a drop pitman arm if your track bar bracket drops the track bar down farther than stock.

That kit you posted is fine EXCEPT go for the one with the rear full leaf packs you will be much happier with the ride and your replacing your old worn out ones.
I have ran Rustys Leafs and springs for several years and he has very good high quality ones. Here is my 99 4wd with his 4 1/2" lift on it. I do have upgraded shocks installed but you can add them later when funds allow.

I have a 2WD 5 speed. Here is a list of what I am currently running. Rubicon Express 4.5" coils, Rubicon Express 3.5" leafs Rubicon Express TC drop (you WILL need this to have a better pinion angle) Rough Country Lower Control Arms Rough Country 1.5" shackles Rusty's adjustable track bar Rusty's 1" pitman arm drop Rusty's heavy duty tie rods (optional), Bilstein 5100 shocks, 32" BFG, 15x8 alloys. Mine is pretty solid as is, but next up for me is adjustable upper control arms. Or save up for a Rusty's Long Arm Kit. Cheers! Steve M
