Default 4.5 inch leaf pack questions

Hey, as in the title, im looking for a good 4.5 inch rear leaf pack...i am not quite looking for the cheapest i can im looking for something i wont have to replace in a year because they sagged so bad...ive heard of people using OME 3 inch and a shackle, and ive heard RE were good...any opinions or anything anyone???? my jeep is sitting around a 4 inch lift right now but i wouldnt mind another half inch or an inch higher...i was thinking about getting ACOS for the front coils if it sits too much higher also and im going to need all new shocks all around too, and i think im gunna go with bilsteins

go with the ome 3", a shackle relocation bracket, and then maybe a shackle if you still need to go any higher. much better than getting a 4.5" leaf pack because the higher arched leaves are usually just shorter costing you flex and ride quality.

You may not need the shackle relocation bracket, if you get a quality leaf pack that was built for the Cherokee they should be the correct length, and not need relocation brackets to correct the shackle angle.

mmm... and what manufacturer have you seen put out a 4.5" leaf pack that wasn't shorter than stock? My kit was for a cherokee... wasn't some hack. Point us in the right direction.

Maybe my customers have been lucky, but so far I've not received a single complaint about the length of any of the RE leaf springs that have been purchased from my site.

ah, I didn't know that, I thought your lift was all RE. You've got a lot of money wrapped up in that thing.

I beg to differ!!

You are correct on may not needing a shackle relo kit.
BUT
I have RE 3.5 kit and needed them, unless RE is not quality. It all depends on the jeep cuz there all different.

for the record myRE 3.5 leafs gave me closer to 4.5 of height.

Funny just today I made a resturant depot run in my jeep 6 cases of water, 4 cases of redbull, 5 cases of soda, and a ton of veggies and misc crap and that sucker only dropped a half inch. Im gone say convervative 250lbs

well would this give me about the same height as a shackle also??? The thing is I dont want it to sag...i could care less on the ride anyways i just want it to be able to flex and not be a jank setup like what i have now...if it is actually lifted higher then what it is then ill get a set of ACOS for it...I do drive it everyday but i also have another vehicle im going to start driving also so im not really worried about it and the longest trip it will probably go on with me is to silver lake which is 2.5-3 hour drive away and if that relocation bracket is about the same amount of lift ill just get that with the OME 3 inch rear leafs and call it a day

shackle angle is a HUGE factor when it comes to flex and ride quality. The spring itself is going to determine how long it lasts before it sags.

The only way I would believe no one cared about the ride quality is if there rig was a trailer queen to and from trails/rocks.
But
since you said "I do drive it everyday" Id give you about a week or two before you hate your XJ with bad shackle angles.

Remember you only need the relocation kit IF IF IF IF your shackle angle is at 90 degrees or more. Talk about rigid, my god!

Research shackle angles and shackle relocation kits, Im thinking you need a lil more insight.
