Default 33's Best Setup?

Alright guys im almost 19, ive got a baby blue 95 Cherokee XJ 4.0 2WD. (Looking to do a conversion in the future to 4WD) So im looking at lifting it and getting a set of 33's. Im curious of what i will all need to lift the truck being its 2WD and different. What should i do for bumpstops? im looking for everything i need to get it lifted and hopefully not cut the flares. Any suggestions on a place to get cheap tires that are also a good tire, and rim sizes. The more info you can give me the better! Pictures are GREAT!

Any lift that's available for a 4wd Jeep will work just fine for a 2wd Jeep. There's absolutely nothing different.

For 33's you'll probably want about a 4" lift if you don't want to trim the fenders.

Daystar makes some nice extended bumpstops that fit in the factory locations.

Welcome. You should start off by reading this thread.

4.5" lifts tend to work well with 33s if you don't want to trim. Being two wheel drive doesn't really matter with suspension. It's still a solid axle with coils and a track bar.

Welcome, like everyone has mentioned 2wd vs 4wd suspension doesn't matter on a Cherokee.

Now, what I would do is start looking for is a HP D30 w/ x297 u-joints to go ahead and put up front.

Then, you can get the rest of the 4WD drive train later.
4wd Transmission, T-Case, & Drive Shafts.

Well i have 2 inch shackles, ill probably get new 3 inch lift leafs in the rear and im getting 3 inch taller coils with a additional spacer. Besides that all ill need is a track bar?

For 5", you're going to want new lower control arms, probably uppers too. An adjustable track bar will be needed unless you like drilling needlessly and not being able to drive past 40 mph out of pure fear of death.

Don't forget dampers. And brake lines. And a method of fixing your pinion angle. Welcome a fantastic pain in the butt.

once you pass 3", there's a good chance you'll have to go to a sye setup. depends on the rig tho, as i'm on a 4.5" longarm lift and have no vibes whatsoever.

as for pictures.. there's a sticky in this subforum full of pictures of lifted rigs, each one with a description of what parts were used. browse thru it for ideas

Control arm drop brackets have nothing to do with being able to adjust your pinion angle. You need adjustable control arms to be able to adjust your pinion angle and castor.

yeah, pinion bearing in rear end. But control arms are up front. I'll just shim up to adjust pinion angle

5" sure seems steep for stock arms and CADs.
Gonna have a ****ty castor angle I bet.

Like andy said, adjustable LCAs are your friend.
