Default 33 x 12.50 x 15 on stock rims

I have a 6 inch lift and I'm still running stock tires and rims. at the moment i do not have the money to buy new tires and rims but my friend is willing to sell me some 33's with over 80% tread left in them but id have to run them on stock rims. he is selling them way cheap and i either have the choice to buy them now or buy rims now. some advice please?

Stock rims are 7"...too narrow for a 12.50" tire.

you can put them on the stock wheels and be fine as far as the wheels and tires go, you can find a number of people on here running 12.50s on 7" wheels. However, with stock wheels those 33x12.50s are going to rub the LCAs big time. I would just wait

well i have 300 right now and i wanted to see if the guy would through in the rims there on. i think there mounted on a set of soft 8s right now or at least something close. if not i don't know if i want to take the money i have and put it in to rims or take the tires and have them till i get the rest. maybe mount em up and just not wheel the jeep for a little while till i get new rims.

or how about spacers? what are some thoughts on those?

i have looked in to the Crager soft 8s with 4 bs and 5 of them to ship here is about $260 which i thought was a way good deal for rims.

rubbing in the front is not the biggest problem here, at 12.5" wide, you will not even be able to rotate the tire in the rear as it will be into the leaf springs about 3/4".

I run my 33s on stock ranger rims and dont seem to have any issues. They rub a little in the front if I crank the wheel all way and are about 3/4" from the rear leafs. I run them low in sand and play in the mud with no issues.
