Definatly 31's it will rub in the hard turns without trimming fenders with 33's. I started with a 4.5in lift and ended up trimming the fenders because of the turning.

If you bumpstop and trim in the right spots its quite possible to run 35s. A correct backspace on your rims would help significantly as well.
If you are unsure at all on this subject, then go with the 31s.
Every rig is different, so its almost necessary to stick on the 33s and see what needs to be cut at that height. Almost trial and error unless you know what your doing.

Also if u plan on riding offroad u will wanna have the clearance without having to worry about rubbing.. Thats why I have a 5.5 lift and 33's with trimmed fenders .... Never have to worry about rubbing!

here is mine on Rough Country 3" and 285/75/16 (actual measurement = 33.25" x 11.25" on a 16x8 wheel) had to do a 'little' trimming
a lot of guys trim even on 3" and 31s
no flares with worn out 285/75/16

If you dont want to cut your gonna have to go with 31s.... its not a bad thing you can do a lot of wheeling on 31s and they are way cheaper

Not trimming your fenders is going to limit your Jeep a lot. The name of the game is biggest tires you can fit on the smallest lift. I run 36's on a 5.5" and as soon as I have the $ it will be 39.5"ers on the same height lift. With the 36's I have no rub and I will not tolerate any rub with 39.5's. Lift height means nothing with out big tiers. You could have 10" of lift with 31's and get stuck all day. Tires are like many other things in life size matters ask your GF

Im runnin 33s on 1.75 spacers but I cut a lot and beat the snot out of my inner fender wells if you ask me itwas worth it for the extra 2" of rubber
but if you dont want to cut 31s are your only option
