I went to discount tire to get a set of mb v drive rims today and when they mounted the 30x9.5x15 tires on the 15 rims they were rubbing bad! i was wondering if anyone knows if a 1.5' lift would be enough that way they want rub? im not sure what the off set is. any advice is appreiciated.

You're rubbing at bumps at stuff, or just at full lock?
1.5" MAY be enough, but just to be sure I would go for 2". The cheapest way to do that would be 2" spacers in the front, and then the $40 shackle kit for the rear (theres a 6-7 page topic on it).

I'm imagining you're rubbing on bumps then, not on any drive components of your XJ? Running 30x9.50R15 on the factory 5-star rims and I don't rub at full lock.

Not to sound stupid but kinda new to the jeep thing. What do you mean full lock? they test fit the rims/tires and when they turned the wheel half way they were rubbing. the inside of the fender.
