300k engine and sye
I am about to take over my wife's jeep. It almost has 300k on the motor. I was planning on making it a mini stroker but worried about the high mileage. I would make sure the block is sound but is it worth it. Also at the same time when I redo the motor I want to rebuild the tranny and install the sye. Can this be done on stock suspension? I don't plan to lift it for awhile.

Have the block checked really well but there's no reason you can't rebuild that block if it's ok.
You can go ahead and install the SYE if you want. I'm not sure why you'd want to but it's not going to hurt anything.
Just make sure the drive shaft is the correct length and not too long.
