Looking for some help. I will try to be thorough with what I’ve tried already. Was driving home lost all power and engine cut out. 30 amp ECU fuse blew. It blow immediately upon turning the key to on. I have disconnected all of the following ( CPS, Distributor, Coil, Ballast resistor, O2 and fuel pump) all of which still resulted in a blown fuse. I have checked all grounds and cleaned up all wires throughout the system. If I disconnect the ECU the fuse does not blow, if I disconnect the fuel pump relay the fuse will not blow. I am running out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.
It blowing with the fuel pump relay in place suggests there's a short, either in the relay, or in the output wiring to the fuel pump. With the relay removed and the fuel pump disconnected, verify that there is no continuity between the two wires going to the fuel pump. Also, check the relay to ensure that the only circuit with continuity to ground is the signal.
