Default Will 3.75 backspacing rub with my setup?

Right now, my 2001 xj is stock with 30x9.5 tires and stock wheels. It rubs when I go over dips and speed bumps so I'm planning on getting a 2 inch lift for it. Once I have the lift, I wanted to get new wheels which are 15x7 but have a 3.75 backspacing. Since the backspacing is going to push the tires out a little, will this cause the tires to rub on the fenders?
Thanks

The size of the rim doesn't matter as much as the overall tire size. With a 30 inch tire the backspacing won't matter and if you add a 2 inch lift you should have no problems. A 3.75 backspacing kicks the tires out a bit and away from the inner fenders. For what its worth, you should look for a 15x8 rim as it is what most go with on the XJ and you have some options on tire size and brand. 15x7 is going to be a ***** to find tires for.
