3 inch backspacing
I recently put a lift on my 2000 cherokee. I currently have 235 75 15 on thethere. I am looking at buying a set of 31x10.5 mounted on 15inch rims. I was wondering how bad the tires would stick out with 3 inch back spacing on the rims.
Thanks

It would depend on how wide the rims were. You can do the math and get the answer yourself though.
10.5 / 7 inch rim x 4 = would stick out 6 inches from the WMS
10.5 / 8 inch rim x 5 = would stick out 6.56 inches from the WMS
10.5 / 7 inch rim x 4 = would stick out 6 inches from the WMS

Always remember to share as much as you can...how much lift? You need about 3 inches to clear the 31's although I've seen guys stuff them in with less. Factory back spacing is 5-5.5 depending on the wheels. Three inches is pretty shallow, it would be better to get around 4 inches. I ran factory wheels and 31 inch tires and a 3.5 inch lift with no issues.
