2x6 rocker thickness
Anyone know how thick of metal should be used for 2x6 rocker? Am planning on just welding it to current rocker area, then later on reinforcing it after frame stiffeners are purchased and mounted

Rockin Rockers
X2 on the 3/16"
Cut your way in, weld your way out.
Able to lift the Peep whole side with jack under the rocker, no deflection, slides on our mud, soil, snow and ice just fine.
Tuck em high as you can, 19" clear under the rocker on 31's and 3.5".
If your a real rough and heavy rock wheeler or consider a 2X8 you could look at 1/4 wall.
If I did it again I'd go 1/4x2x8 and let it stick out and in even more for additional width lower door protection. Keep in mind I was free and clear of any floors interference at the time and pushed it in deep under the whole sill. If your floors are good and your just cutting it into the rocker; 2x6 would be best effective.
