2wd MJ conversion to 4wd
I am considering converting our MJ from 2wd to 4wd. Is the change the same as an XJ? There are plenty of writeups about the XJ conversion and I have a doner XJ. I noticed the rear axle is different and was concerned that there may be other considerations.
Also I would like to install fatter tires (I would like 31-10.50). I noticed the rear springs go UNDER the axle. Could the springs be installed on top for free lift? I realize the axle will require the spring pads to be reloacated but that is no big deal for me. Thx-Ace

I just did this conversion a month ago. What Are the specs of the mj and donor xj? Doing a spring over will give you about 5 inches of lift which will be excessive for 31s
