2nd motor mount in 10k miles?
I just put a motor mount in my jeep about 6 months ago and now that one is going out on me. The rubber center is like melting out of it. The only thing i noticed is it's about 4 inches away from the exhaust manifold. i have the 4.0 straight six. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Dustin

Stock motor mounts suck, upgrade to brown dog or Ironman4x4 motor mounts. I personally run the ironman ones and havent had to worry about them in over a year. Plus they are lift mounts which does the same thing as tcase drop

i have the brown dog ones. i get a little vibration at idle at times, but i love them to death cause they take some much abuse! and yes i had the same problem, 2 motor mounts on 1 year time span. if it is the one on the exhaust side then you are running your motor to hot, i would suggest getting a 180* stat for your coolant. works wonders on my jeep!

It wasnt too bad. Just put a jack on the oil pan and used a big pry bar to move the motor around as needed, It is a tighter fit than stock but only took my 1.5 hrs or so with beer breaks. You also cant use a tcase drop with lift motor mounts but you wont need them anymore.
