By way i can identify 258 rods and crank? Thinking about buying a set from a guy on CL.
Also, what's a fair price? Said he was going to make furniture out of them.....

Ok, been doing some reading up on this subject. Looks like I'm going to have to buy some calipers possibly.
Also was looking at a vintage 258/4.2 manual and it had a section with special engine codes. There will be a letter stamped on the block between the coil and distributor to identify an over or under sized component. Was this common?
