He definitely wouldn't do something like this. You would have had to have given permission long before he'd be willing to do it.
He'll be retiring from his shop here in not too long. Not sure if someone else will take over, or we'll be losing one of the best shops in Colorado.

I know that shop, and know the owner very very well.

Helped me out in a jam and they only do top notch work. I have sorely missed them since moving to FL, all the offroad shops down here only want to install lift kits on JK Wranglers and stupid pavement pounding trucks. Anything that even approaches "fabrication" is met with a "ooh we don't do stuff like that, but if you want some stupid chrome wheels and a bunch of sticker, we are experts in that)

The guys at Crawlertech and Hooligan Offroad (****) are fantastic (I am not shy about recommending either shop, seriously they are one of the best fabrication shops I have ever stepped foot in).

I see them on a pretty regular basis, wheel with, and so on with them.
It'll be sad to see Joshua retire, but that just means he should have more time for wheeling now

Not everyone has the tools, time, or technical ability, especially if it's their only vehicle. No need to berate people for not being experts. There's stuff I had shops do in the past that I'm capable enough now to do on my own, but it wasn't always that way. There's nothing wrong with paying a 'professional' to get something done if you feel it's above your capability, but no one deserves to be taken advantage of.
