2007 tahoe rear view mirror in my xj?
i have a 2007 chevy tahoe rear view mirror with compass and thermometer. is it possible to add this to my xj and if so how do i hook up the electrical part?

Yes. There is a DIY on here somewhere. I did it in my xj. Got the piece that read temp. at AutoZone. Then I used connectors, instead of the pig tail to hook it up. Basic wiring skills is all that is needed.

I just started to instal my mirror but notice its got some kind of lense in the back o the mirror. I also just notice it's got the onstar button which I know I'm not gonna use. Which wires will I be needing and what is that small lense for?

Pin 3 is to be connected to the backup lights to turn off the auto dim feature in reverse. If you intend not to use this feature connect the LT GRN wire to chassis ground. If this pin is floating the auto dim will not work properly.
