2000 XJ Sport 33's Gearing
Hey guys, i know that there are many threads about xj gearing bu they are all about what gears to get.
Since i dont know much about XJ gearing (im sure im not in the minority here), i need to know what i need to buy to get 4.11 gears in my 1999 XJ Sport with LP Dana 30 in front and Chrysler 8.25 in back.
Would this be all i need for the front: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dana-30-R...ht_2012wt_1397
and back: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Chrysler-...ht_2296wt_1397
Any explanation is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Kyle Mackechnie

No that's not all you need. You'll need master install kits for the front and back as well as a new carrier for the front.
What transmission do you have?
If you have a manual, you want 4.10 gears.
If you have an auto, you want 4.56 gears.
I'd recommend going through either Serious Offroad or RWKHausSupply (both users on this forum) to get your gears. You'll get a quality brand and I believe you'll get some sort of warranty with them.

Within the next month I am putting 4.56's in my 99 with a Auto and 33's
A few guys I wheel with run 33's with 4.10's and Auto's with their XJ's they say they wish they went with 4.56 gears
