Default 2000 xj injector swap question

I am looking to do the swap. I found injectors that will work. My question is will the swap fix the heat soak issue I'm having with 4.0. If not then I'm gonna sell it or swap in an older motor and ecu. That seems to be my options. If anyone has any input on this I would appreciate it. And if anyone lives near lakeland we need to get together and wheel. Thanks

Its the #3 injector. Apparently from the factory, when they designed the intake setup on the 00 and 01, it allows an abundance of heat to "soak" the #3 injector and it makes my idle rough. Very rough. I bought this insulation from the factory designed for it but it is pretty useless. I don't want to buy the injectors if I'm still gonna have the issue. I hope this helps.

As for the injector swap it is. Just make sure you get the right cfm injectors of course. But as for the heat soak issue, to my knowledge it is only on the 2000 and 2001. It was a design flaw on them. The intake was a little different I think and also the emissions is different causing more heat to radiate up on the injectors. #3 to be exact.

No it wont stop that issue but you can do it yourself. One buy the factory heatsheild, and Two insulate the injectors with plug wire boot heat shield. After all its only a SIMPLE heat issue.

Actually they all can get it to a certain point if its hot enough anything can get heat soak but it is more often in the 2000-2001 xj's.

The louvers would definitely help. It is just a heat issue. The "insulator" they sell you at the dealer is garbage. One of my wife's tampons would probably work better. I was just hoping that maybe the swap would stop this. I can dream. Plus I think the 2000 and 2001 were the only ones to have the 2 catalytic converters under the intake pretty much. So even more heat. I am gonna do louvers and the e-fan switch or something. And I need to get the 3 core radiator. Any other heat reducing ideas? Anyone.... Bueller?
