Coil spacers would be just fine, as long as you use the puck style spacer.

Why not do a 3" budget boost? For a few hundred bucks youll have a nice lift.

Depends on the quality of the 2" lift spring.

At that height it'd be mostly preference and overall cost.

For $20 you can get used puck spacers here, just gotta be patient.

I got a set of JK rubicon shocks for $80. But they arent really much longer. only like an inch. I added bar pin eliminators which add 1-1.5" to the shock. I spent under $500 for eveything. and used leaf spring cost me $100 at the junk yard, ****s expensive round here.

You can prolly redo the suspension with a BB for less than the EMU setup. The leaf springs are gonna cost you almost $300 alone. You can get leafs, shock and springs for that.

Don't mean to steal the OP thread here but I'm going to be doing the same lift with my 96 XJ. I plan on getting the Old man Emu 2" leafs as well. But I was wondering if the type of spacers matter? I have been searching ebay and google for just two spacers. They are usually asking like 25-35 for the pair. I'm just wondering if the type of material matters? seems kind of sketchy that they are so cheap. Am I getting ripped off if I go with one of those?
