2 Door cherokee question

I put 97 doors on my 89. All I needed was the striker. I used one original bolt & drilled a hole for another parts store bolt. It doesn't line up perfectly but it doesn't whistle or leak water..... much. Lol

Thanks for the replys. I think i will get them and make them work if they turn out to be the later doors. Just so tired of power window issues right now. Big David, i totally get the leak water thing. my XJ is a factory sunroof car and must have been installed by stain himself. My plan for that is to get a roof section and weld the MFer up then Rhino the roof.

Those are nice doors you got, just take the guts out of the 96 doors and put them in yours. The guts will be the same for sure, I've converted alot of doors to crank windows it's alot easier then changing them.

Repair what you got.
You got a gem.
Yeah, you can swap but you'll be stuck with the later interior panels, I'm afraid.
If you are dead set on it, have a competent shop do the swap/paint/body work. Good late 2 doors are going to be hard to find, particularly SE doors.
I looked for 2 years ++ for mine.

I agree, those doors look great. You only need to drill out 4 or 5 rivits to get the regulator out. I just so happen to be in at the yard one day & found my doors. I was so tired of the inop power doors. The paint code is different but I really don't care, its not a show vehicle.
IIRC, the hinges changed mid/late 97.
