Default 2" or 3" blocks

Hey guys, I know rear leaf spring blocks arent the BEST way to achieve a couple more inches of lift, but for budget purposes that's what I'm going to do... for now. Anybody had any problems running a 3" block or should I stick to a 2"?

Why not go with shackles instead?

My u-bolts are bent so I'm gonna replace them. Thought I'd put a block in there while I'm at it to help fit my 33's. I don't want to trim the fenders if I dont have to. What about blocks AND shackles?

They wont be so cheap when they snap your leaf springs and your driveshaft bottoms out into your t-case, or the rear U joint breaks.

You will have to trim to fit 33s regardless unless you get into the 6-7" lift area.

For an easygoing street rig or light wheeling you could probably get away with it. If you are a throttle jockey or play on difficult obstacles You should steer clear. The risk is not worth it imo.

OK I'll take your word for it. I'll just use shackles and then trim. I just built this thing from the ground up and I dont want to deal with any issues like snapping leaf springs. Thanks guys! Thats why I come here!
