Default 1997 jeep cheroke susp lift/tires wtf...

Alright after doing alot of thinking, alot of planning, and ALOT of BUDGETING......I have decided... to stick with the original plan for now.

So this here are my questions....

My 1997 jeep cheroke 4x4 is all stock as of right now except for the rough country 3 inch entry level susp kit.

It says the recomended tire size is 31/10.50 so should i go ahead and buy a set of 31/10.50/R15 bfg km2s? or should i buy a set of 32/11.50/R15 bfg km2s? There is only an $80 difference so i want to know what would be best.... I am Also about to buy a set of rims for the jeep what back spacing am i needing? and how wide should i go?

I plan on putting a front and rear bumper and roof rack on it soon. And i do take it mudding/ off road quite a bit.

For the rims I would get 15 by 8 inch, with about a 4 inch back spacing. As for the tires, you could run the 32's on that amount of lift, but you will rub and have to do some fender trimming.

I guess i will buy 15/8 black steel rims and 31/10.50/R15 BFG Km2 m/t tires.

I suggest going 32's... One of the best things you can do for your offroad ability is the tires. Lockers and regearing is twice as complecated than trimming a little plastic and sheetmetal away from the tires. The best/easiest thing I've done is trim my fenders for my 33's! My setup incase your wondering is 4.5 inch lift, 33's on 15x8 3.75 backspace wheels. I would hate for you to get 31's just cause you're afraid of a little rubbing... Be more worried about regearing, syes, and all the other toys you'll want down the road.
