1995 Cherokee Headlight Issues

1995 Jeep XJ Headlight Problem

Jeep XJ Headlights dont work 95% of the time. When I pull the plunger once, my bumper lights come on (100% of the time with no issue). When I pull my plunger twice, SOMETIMES headlight will flicker or work but 95% of the time it simply doesnt do anything. Turn signals also work 100% of the time.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Headlight Relay is ok
Headlight switch replaced
All Grounds in the Engine bay are 100% clean (new engine)
Connections are not melted

Any ideas on what this could be?

CRUISER'S MOSTLY RENIX TIPS

CONNECTOR AND RELAY/RECEPTACLE REFRESHING

I suggest unplugging EVERY electrical connection in the engine bay you can find, whether engine related or not, and spraying it out with a , visually inspecting the terminals making sure they haven’t retracted into the plastic holder, and then plugging it back together.

There’s a critical 10-pin connector for the front lighting system located in front of the air cleaner and behind the left headlight assembly. Don’t miss that one. Also be sure that the connectors to the ballast resistor mounted near the air cleaner housing are clean and tight.

ALL of the relays should be removed, the terminals wire-brushed until shiny, and the receptacles sprayed out with contact cleaner. Then plug them back in. I do this on every Renix Jeep I purchase or work on for someone else.https://i0.wp.com/cruiser54.com/wp-c...size=300%2C225

I mention it because the OP is working on a 95 not a Renix Jeep. Is that connector behind the headlight the same between renix and non?
