Default 1994 jeep xj with 1998 motor quiestion

i have installed a 1998 4.0 out of a grand cherokee into my 1994 xj with the 1999+ intake all is going well so far except the stock belt is too long with the new intake and there is a temp sensor it the back of the driver side rear of the head on my old motor and my newer motor does not have one nor is there even a hole for it what should i hook my wire to ? i think its for my temp gauge any help would be great

I 'think' I read another post saying that the temp sensor is on the opposite side on the newer head. I believe they just spliced in longer wires. As for the belt, it shouldn't be too hard to find a shorter one.. Hope this helps.

The HO thermostat housing should have a provision for your temp sender. You will have to extend the wire.
