1989 grand dies key released???
My 1989 jeep Cherokee dies when I release the key. Have tried everything...please help!!!!

UGH !!!!!
ok, we have taken apart the ignition switch, tested relay sensors, did the fuel pump (not relevant but did it anyways), replaced ballister resister, someone said it was the green wire going to the switch.....nope, crank shaft switch is fine, we are stumped. Have been working on this for six months by process of elimination.

Engine: 12 hole bosch Injectors
electric ignition switch mounted on coloumn not key switch ? taken apart was it checked for 12 volts going thru it when in run position????

Very easily could be the fuel pump relay. How are you testing the wires and relays BTW?

swapping out relay sensors with a good one. Checking all the fusable links and pulliing on the fusable links. Then checking for corosion.
