from what i have read they "should" have a Drivers drop D44 front like the waggy, and a AMC 20 in the rear(but could be a D44)... the AMC 20 has a bad rep from the CJ's and is a better AMC 20 then those. but Google FSJ (full size jeep) axles info should poor out at you... here is some from pirate's axle bible... http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/bible/index.html#JFA
in 83 it should have the D44 front (maybe vacuum disco) and the rear is most likely a AMC 20, but could be a D44 will have to look to be sure.
if the rear is centered then i can be used. if not then i would recommend looking further. the front is usable as well but if it is disco its also not worth the time for a swap. so really you have to look and see what you have under it first.

FSJ's have the Dana 44 LP, which isn't much of an upgrade over the Dana 30 HP. Personally, I would look more for a F250 Dana 44 HP, TJ Dana 44 HP or JK Dana 44 HP (the TJ one being a direct swap).

Thanks for the help! Im going to do a 9" in the rear, cause I have one so I am mainly looking for a front axle. Im just not sure i want to fool with cutting down a full size housing.
