136A + me-tard = cel-14 and stall waves?
so... my alternator and battery gave up the ghost so i thought i would get a napa 84 mo. 34 series and a 136A alternator from a v8 zj (from oreileys).
i replaced a few wires with bigger ones. i left the green part that goes in to the fuse box because i think it is an inline fuse or something.
i now get a CEL code 14 (map sensor voltage +or-) and the engine falls to the brink of stalling then bucks up, occasionally dropping low enough to stall out.
any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. what the crap did i do? 1996 sport BTW 117A as per build sheet 75A as per dude that sold it to me.

Are your grounds solid?? I didnt think that upgrading the alternator would make a difference to engine operation, as long as it was compatible with your model year (same connectors and such).

1996, i screwed around with the intake filter...now that i think of it... the intake configuration i tried did not work because it pushed down on the MAP sensor. do you think that i could have hurt the MAP; are they super sensitive?
as for grounds i was trying to up grade them a bit, so in theory...

when the sun comes up i will get back on it it's muggy, wet, mosquito ridden, and dark out now, then again its wifey and nagy in here.
just checking 5 volt ref. right? is that a fair enough indicator of operation for the MAP?
