1 tons with 4.10s?
Looking to do 1 tons in my cherokee gm 14 bolt with dana 44 front they have 4.10s just wondering how that would be with a straight 6 or if i should save for a regear?

i just did a simple 5 minute shave job on mine and im at the same clearance as my old dana 60 that i ran on 35s.
yes, the 60 hit stuff, but the back up a foot and give throttle method worked every time.

Thought about picking up one for the cheapness but after helping swap one in idk, I see it get hung up on alot of rocks. But applications vary on what you do and where you live.

14bolt is a great axle and and almost as tough as a rockwell. I would skip the 44 and find a 60 if you're at a point where you need that big of a rear axle. I wish I had skipped the 44 front and when funds allow I'm replacing mine.

well lets face it if your going to spend the cahs and time to swap tons, your probly not going to be running anything less than 37's
