4.0L H.O. Motor might need rebuilt or an oil pump
I have an 1991 4.0L H.O. that came in my jeep when i bought it. Was told it needed an oil pump. it started up but then started making noise. I just throw in an motor that i had so it`s been in my garage ever since. Willing to sale or trade XJ parts for motor. I was gonna build an stroker outta it. Now i just want it outta my garage.

Perhaps i am. Hi there. My name is Rhyan and today i bought a 89 cherokee laredo with a i6 4.0 auto trans for $750. The body and interior are in immaculant condition, but alas the engine sounds like theres a birgade of tapdancers in it. So to be honest i dont know that much about jeeps....and i was thinking maybe i need to replace the motor. Ive been scouring the internet and trying to find out what engines are compatible with my jeep. Do you know if the engine you have would fit in my jeep.
