Newbie from the UK

Hi All

Only three hours away from picking up my first Jeep Cherokee, a 1997 4.0LTD. Test drove it yesterday and it was a no-brainer not to buy it!

Can't wait to sink myself into the leather seats again and enjoy it! Have been a Land Rover driver for the last three years, but after driving the Cherokee, there's no way on earth I would go back to a LR.

Looking forward to sharing experiences (good and bad!) with you all.

Cheers

Hi mate. Welcome back to jeep. I have a similar ZJ to you. Bloody awesome. Although I want the 2.7 diesel next. I am from Near Corby Northants. No lanes near here really, how about you?

Mines an XJ, if I understand correctly you have a Grand Cherokee (that is the ZJ isn't it?). Either way, cracking vehicles both of them (my mate has the ZJ)!

There are a few gentle lanes near me that I used when I had my various Land Rovers, nothing too extreme though.

Same here! Sold my 1986 leaking, rusting Defender for nearly £3000 and got a real beaut 1997 XJ for only £1100. No comparison
