Interesting... looks like a Cherokee with newer Liberty (KK) flares and headlights with a WJ grill just to mess with your head.
Patriots can be wheeled? I've seen Ford Freestars with more ground clearance

LMAO i know they seem pretty pitiful but they do get wheeled, nothing to difficult but more than i would have expected out of them......same thing goes for those god damn libbies, i hated em with a passion but i have seen em wheeled pretty decently which made me respect em a little more for what they are.

I have to imagine its pretty hard for Jeep to keep their offroad orientation with their models while appealing to the newer car buyers, whom are mainly looking for a comfortable street vehicle.
The wrangler is so iconic, that they are able to keep it around. It also helps that it really doesn't have much competition besides some of the POS land rovers. Even the wrangler has become more of a street crawler than it ever has before with the wider body, huge ugly *** flares, shiny parts, ect...
Despite this, I still think the new JKs are great offroad platforms. The fact that Jeep has left them with the same basic design has retained their customizability and potential offroad performance.
That being said, besides the wrangler, there really isn't much room for another offroad oriented model. The only other possible option Jeep could explore would be some sort of 1/2 ton or 3/4 truck with independent front suspension to compete with some of the tundras and F150s. Who knows what will happen. I just hope they never take the wrangler too far away from its roots. I know the gladiator concept truck looks bad ***, and I really hope they release it soon.

Jeep is already selling the Brute conversions from the dealerships. My local jeep dealer hear sold a Brand new 2012 Jeep wrangler 4dr Unlimited that was converted to the Brute truck. It did not last long on the dealership lot. I think it sold within 4 days.

My girlfriend drives a patriot. It gives her good traction in the winter and it sits just high enough to spare the plastic bumper from the bumper blocks at the mall. But her jeep has to be WAY better off road than mine. All mine says on the side is CHEROKEE SPORT, while hers says TRAIL RATED. That's means somthin right?

Wow this thread is sooo off topic lmao
Lol if by "trail" you mean "road that wasn't paved in the last 10 years"...
Well dude, at least she's driving a Jeep, technically. For some people, the embracing of an XJ is a multi-stage process. She'll get there eventually. I've got my fiancee trained that we both say "Trail Rated my ***" when we see one of those silly Patriots or Compasseses
