Built xjs from around the world
It is cool that jeep Cherokees are all around the word I was just wanted to see how you all in other country's are building hardcore xjs
Slowly and expensive due to shipping rates. Plus ALOT of things can not get shipping here through the USPS. Other than that, its just another process, one step at a time.

TUV is all hardcore about modding your vehicle. at least on base it a little bit easier to get your car thru inspection. but alot of times stuff that flys in the states is a no go here in germany. my german buddy has all kinds of hoops to jump thru to get his jeeps to pass every year.
Yeah sometimes its not worth the hassle, the Germans we have working for us at the inspection place seem to think they work at TUV sometimes. All it takes is the regulation to set them straight. With that said i have some work to do to the 88 to get her to pass:001_unsure:

What kind of stuff do you guys have problems with
Any leaks, tires past flares, we can not have window tint on the front windows, if the vehicle is equipped with a light it must work (fog lights are the worst), the brakes have to be damn near brand new. Now take all that and remember you only get 30 days on the temp tags, so you need to order parts from the states and that take 2 weeks at a minimum.
the ebrake HAS to work and not be off by 200 (of whatever the scale is on the brake rollers) as do the brakes. any aftermarket suspension componets like tubular LCAs. ANY fluid leaks however minute. brake lines CANNOT have rust anywhere on them (was forced to replace the front to rear brake line, thank god chrysler only charged 30 euro for the prebent line). no check engine or airbag lights. no cracks in the light lenses.
and yes they do think that they work at TUV :furious:
Yea we ran our XJ through inspections and it failed for the normal. Leaks, tires too wide, headlights to high, blah blah blah etc.
