Any Jeepers near Lakenheath RAF?
I'm getting stationed at lakenheath RAF in a few months and I'm bringing the XJ with me. I've heard there is some pretty sweet 4wheeling around the area and I'm I'm not passing up this chance to wheel my pride and joy overseas

Just got me a jeep since i have been out here, should have brought my 87 with me. i am bone stock for now but hopefully after i get moved into my new house i can get a budget lift on the jeep and go do some wheelin. AH have you been informed of the new housing rules as far as you have to live in lords walk?

I just showed up last night, so now the wife and me are living in the hotel (hopefully get our house soon). Ive been told that it is mandatory to live on base now, and since there are available houses it looks like thats where ill be. Im in the 494th AMU (red), and i have to start in processing tomorrow and do all the first term airman stuff.
So my Jeep is currently on a boat right now to come here, and ive done everything I can think of to get it road ready and street legal for here. But it never crossed my mind that I might need fender flares. Every truck i've seen so far has aftermarket flares or at least a flare extension of some sort. So am I gunna need to have good tire coverage?

stock flares might be ok, but i think my tires would still stick out about 2''. Ive been looking at the Rustys flex flares. I like how they can twist a little, and they wont look retarded when i cut the bottom half off to match my trimmed lower quarters.

Hmm... I might have to ask him about those to get me by. But I really think im gunna buy a set of rustys flares, unless he will let me keep the tj flares long enough to make my tube fenders

I saw a Dark green, 4dr., 4x4 XJ today. It looked like it had a 3-4'' lift on it with the stock tires/wheels. Oh and Im pretty sure it was RHD. Anyone know who this is?
And what are my chances of getting everybody to go on a little 4wheelin trip one weekend?
I have no idea where we would go, and I dont know when(still waiting for my Jeep to show up)
Any ideas?

We could go to wild trax. That's right down the road. I used to have a green Jeep but it had bigger tires. Was it US spec?

Sweet! and the jeep i saw was UK spec. But on a different note, I was getting on a bus right next to the little Harley Davidson dealer and saw a blue jeep with Mossy oak seat covers lol was that yours?
