Zj seats....in a xj?????
Will ZJ SEATS FIT IN A XJ? I UNDERSTAND THAT THE ZJ SEATS ARE BETTER TO HOLD UP AND MORE COMFORTABLE THAN THE FACTORY XJ SEATS.

not the answer you're looking for but.... any seat will fit into any vehicle, just requires a little bracket fabrication. I am assuming you mean a direct bolt up exchange? that i don't know.
i'm gonna follow this.

I have '94 ZJ Limited leather seats in my '99 Cherokee Classic. Boy are they comfy!
They are manual recline, and I mounted them onto my existing manual rails. No modifications were required.

I have never done anything like this .....so if I unbolt everything from the ZJ all I have to do is unbolt everything from XJ and the ZJ will bolt right up to the floor pan?

for all 95-01 XJs: XJ front seat frame rails (allow the seat to slide forward/backward) and the seat mounts (4 bolts hold everything to the bottom of the seats) need to be put on the ZJ front seats. Fronts are easy. Rear seat swap requires more work.

I just did this to my 99 a couple weeks ago. Night and day difference. All I had to do was take my xj seat rails and swap them to the zj seats. I also hear that wj seats will fit too. I might go look for a set of them to see if they're any better. But these are good for now. The driver cushin is alitle flat on the zj seat I just put in. I still might refoam it if I can find some.

I'd just refoam the seat you've got as the WJ seats aren't that much more comfortable. If you refoam it, you'll never notice the difference between it and a WJ seat.

WJ can work, but I think they need more than just the rail swap (mods should be correcting my write up).
