Is it Worth it?
First, hello and thanks for any help you may be able to offer. I will post a formal hello in a bit.
I have the opportunity to buy a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, it has the 4.0L, 210,000 miles and is virtually rust free, just a small spot of surface stuff.. The owner has all paper work, almost. It has a Jasper? engine in it and the tranny was rebuilt about 70,000 ago. It seems to like slam a little when it goes into I think 3rd gear, maybe it is 4th, only took a short test drive. They want $2500, is that a good deal?

meh thats a little high for a 90 with 210K on it. I am not sure what a Jasper engine is but even thought the tranny was rebuilt it seems a little high.

It is all stock. What impressed me the most is everything was taken care of on a regular basis. Here is a link to the auction which ended, I am buying it locally tomorrow.

RevSponge I recently bought three different 89 XJs which were complete for $300 so I am thinking that price is kinda high.

I have found that you can buy half way decient xj's for between 1000 and 1500 all day long If you look hard enough. I bought my 93 with 230000 and a rebuilt motor for 400. All it needed was tires and front hub. I just bought a 91 Laredo with a bad head and 4.5 on like new 31's for 500. I'm gonna build a stroker out of that one I think. So I wouldn't do 2500. Pay a G and build or make yourself a nice little toy 1000 in upgrades goes along way
