Default Wood paneling

Hey guys,
just want to get your opinion on how the cherokees look with wood paneling. It just crossed my mind and i thought "that would definitely be something different." so what do you guys think of a 2000 maroon with wood panels and all chrome like an old wagoneer? Im going for a classic look to my jeep and thought that wood could be a nice touch. If I decided to go with it I really do not want to end up on the thread "what not to do to your xj" or one along those lines.

I have a 87 wagoner it came with wood paneling. It looks ok. I like it enough that I plan to redo it but the problem is I have never worked with vinyl and its like 160 bucks just to redo the line I have.

To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of the wood paneling. It makes cars look like they came out of the '70s. The only ones that look good are the Woody's from around the 40's, when they actually used real wood.

The absolute worst car with wood paneling that I've seen is the PT Cruiser. But I hate that horrid little car/thing anyways, so I'm a bit biased.

Wood is for building houses, not cars.

Personally, I hate it. I would laugh.

I considered doing wood sides on mine. I was going to have my buddy that does vehicle wraps print me up some black/grey wood grain vinyl. I may still do it, not sure yet.
