Will my XJ even look lifted with a 2" kit?

Just scored my 2" budget kit on ebay and I'm already thinking about what 4" kit I should get. Just curious, does the Jeep really looked lifted with just 2" of lift? I've seen tons of pics but it hard to tell on the computer. So, for anyone that has done this, could you really tell the difference?

My Jeep came with a 2" budget boost.....but the owner never said anything about it and I thought it was all factory. I joined up here and someone pointed out that it might have a lift and they were correct. I was surprised.

My point is that I couldn't tell it was lifted and thought it was stock height with 30" tires. I was new to XJ's and didn't know much about them at the time. Probably the average guy on the street will not notice that it is lifted either.

Edit: still doesn't really look lifted to me.

Only 2" BB and 235's and pulled trim. Not a huge difference, but helps max out flex :)

You notice it more when parked beside stock Cherokee's. My XJ has a 4" lift (going to 6.5" when weather gets nicer), and always thought it looked kinda small when next to fullsize trucks, but looks waayyy bigger than a stock XJ lol.

Imo 2" is waste of money unless its going on top of atleast a 3" lift. Sorry to all of u rockin just a bb, but tis my opinion. I agree that most people won't even notice it.

Well, I guess its a good start with the cash I have on hand right now. I just can't stand how low it sits for a 4X4. I'm sure it will have a decent enough stance with the 2 inch lift for now. If she treats me good over this year, I'll treat her to a proper lift next tax season.

Not really. Especially when you pull up next to one with like 6" on 35s

It will look better to 9/10 people but no one will be able to tell you exactly what's different

I agree, it won't really look lifted, but it will look better. Tires and wheels to match a simple lift will help a lot. I'm not big on the "huge lift" mentality. More interested in what will fit the tire size I want to run.

I'm looking to get a 3 inch lift. I really don't care if other people know it's lifted or not. I just want it to have a better stance. Stock looks too low to me. I'm not even really interested in taking it offroad.
