To keep in touch with others wheeling?
What one do you have and why? I was thinking of getting one of these Uniden 510xl CB

Have always had a CB in my daily drivers. When I drove the highway alot I used it all the time, not so much now.

As far as what kind it is just a cheap one I aquired many years ago.

To communicate when wheeling, and it is a el-cheapo Radio Shack unit.

some times ill just take the CB outa my truck when im home and put it in the jeep, then when i leave for the week again, ill put it back in my truck

and i use the cobra bluetooth model....its a great CB....i like it a lot, but with my new phone, its not compadable with my new phone for some reason....but it was neat with my other phone....

i have one for wheeling and getting there. it helped alot on our trip up to AVF over the weekend. one of our rigs fell behind, missed the turn and my girlfriend saw him go under the overpass we were on. we were all able to pull over and have him catch up. no cell signal around. if she hadnt seen him and we didnt have cbs, who knows where he wouldve ended up.

Because it was $3 at a yard sell and got the antenna free from a friend.

I'm getting a Uniden PRO538W on Monday, I drive on the highways a lot and I like having it available for that, and also for trail use.
