You're running 35's? Trimmed? 4.5 lift? Are you rubbing? On road rig? Off road only? Geared?

It's your rig...does it work for you?

I'm on 35's. Around 6.5" lift. Trimmed (although poorly by PO)...On short arms (hate them, changing ASAP, stroker first lol) on 4.88's. Works for me, but want it to work better. Actually dropping an inch or so in lift when I do it, so 5-5.5" long arms on a stiffened uniframe is where I'm heading.

Thanks. Can't wait to get the stroker in. My point is this: If it works for you, who cares what your "buddy" says? Sounds like you are going to change things anyways, so, wait until you get it changed, see how YOU like it. If you like the look of aftermarket flares, or have to have them due to local law, well, there ya go....And yes, the gears make the difference. I was stuck on 35's and stock gearing due to a sudden job loss, and it sucked hairy man balls...but now it's geared and has a stroker waiting to go in, just a few more things to do before the swap, then the frame work/suspension U/G is next on the list.

I'm at 4.5" lift and metric 35's and my stuff with minimal rub in back. I don't have as much backspace as most you guys do. (4.25) not your typical 3.75. I only have minimal rub at near full lock on lower control arms. Haven't gotta wheel yet with them but I'll be around 5-5.25" lift with my new springs here soon. Really power wise too not much of a change from 33s. Mileage went from 19-20mpg with 31" tires to 16.5mpg w/ 33's then to 13.3mpg with 35" tires.

Little Red XJ Nov 8, 2014 05:35 PM

Rough Country, I like the ride, flexes well, l and have had no issues with the lift.

I could have stuffed the tires a lil more and gone higher, but i left it parked on the ramp for a couple hours at a local friday night meet.

Rogue4x4 Nov 8, 2014 05:37 PM

BTW...bump stop properly and you won't rub...just sayin'...

Rogue4x4 Nov 8, 2014 05:48 PM

haters gonna hate

MoparNJeep Nov 8, 2014 05:49 PM

4:88 is the plan. And bumps for sure. I think 4.5" and 35's is perfect. I'm not long armed yet but I'm all for and about droop.
