not terrible, but quite a bit of modification to the back lip of the flares and around the body lines down low, and lots of planning for where they would be placed and attached. backs took about 6 hours, fronts took about 3.
I'm OCD about stuff though, so i'm sure you could do it a bit quicker
I split the rears at the doors since one of the ones I had was already split

I give up.

My vote... No flares or flat flares.
TJ flares on an XJ make me feel queasy.

hah...no writeup. Pretty much just figuring out what needed to be cut off little by little and where to attach it though the body so i'd have access to the back side to put a nut on it.

lol why? I think they came out pretty good with all rears.
I have to run flares in Maryland, so these keep me legal. Believe me i LOVED the way it looked with the trimmed fenders and no flares, but I can't risk driving to and from work every day without them.

Its all a matter of opinion. You cant just ask, "What flares look the best". Personally, I hate flat flares. I think they look super cheesy, like someone cheaped out and got garden edging from Home Depot and put it on. On VERY FEW XJ's does it even look OK.
Personally, I like the Bushwacker Cutouts. Big, bulky and boxy, just like our XJ's. Plus, when youre going to a flare that big, youre already running huge tires and a big lift and usually bigger bumpers, so those flares a good overall fit for appearance.
