What do I watch out for on an '87 RENIX?
Price is right, body looks good. 4.0 automatic, 4x4. 140 k miles
Seller says it has a hesitation but runs.
Are these models multiple parts assortments? Any advice apprecitated.

Lots of sensors, but pretty easy to work on, the computer is basically a gameboy color. Have an 88' and it's easy to work on. Look at Cruiser's tips here for all renix related issue/tips. 140k is really nice. Hesitation might be injectors, air filter, dirty throttle body, and such.

Click on the link in my signature below. Do Tips 1 through5, and maybe 27.
Complete tuneup including plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. NGK plugs are my possible favorite.
Clean the throttle body per Tip 11.
Make sure the intake manifold bolts are snug.
Make sure the vacuum harnesses are in good shape per Tip 22.
There's TONS of support for the Renix fuel injection system here.
