Oh! Back on topic because I actually accomplished something today when I was supposed to be working.

After more than two years of "I'll get to it," I finally removed the A/C from my YJ. I also removed some old stuff I had under the dash and then relocated my CB to a better position. There's so much more room now!

I also swapped out my dead radio for a spare that I keep for testing. Looks like I'll be ordering a new Kenwood soon.

And I found a loose wire that a PO tapped into a constant 12V wire. It shorted out on the parking brake arm, and I think that's why I've been blowing fuses.

What do you do with the bars that attach to the windshield when you fold it down? Do they come off?

The PO of my Comanche had an 8 gauge wire tucked behind the parking brake. Luckily it never burned the jeep down somehow. The wire was nearly cut in half when I removed it.

I stripped more than 10lbs of aftermarket wiring out of my Camaro. The PO had an alarm system and a stereo. When he sold me the car, he removed all the components and hid the wires under the carpet. Everything was still connected!

Yep, they're in the garage. I still have the rear cage behind the seats

Started tearing the front end down. Lots of bad things going on. This was just the start.

Guy that bought my Jeep almost lost a honda because of that. They were driving along, smelled something burning and when he looked down, he saw an orange glow coming from under the carpet between the trim pieces. PO pulled the speakers and amp out, but left the power wire connected to the battery with the fuse in the holder and just left the wire laying under the carpet.

AH okay #wranglerthings

I figured the rear cage was still attached. That would be an awful lot of work just to fold down the windshield if not.

That happened on my driver's side shock. Ran a die over it. Held fine ever since.

Replaced the exhaust manifold/header.

Only took 4 hours. I don't know if that's slow or not. I'm thinking it's slow-***.

Also installed custom ground from a buddy who wires yuuge panel boxes. Very gauge. Such insulation. Wow.

4 hours is pretty good. Took me forever my first time. I could do it pretty quick now. What takes me the longest is trying to get a wrench on the stupid bolts. They're just in crappy spots for the manifolds

Saw a pathfinder come in our shop with wires just chilling in the back for a sound system. Looked in the bay and they had at least been smart enough to pull the fuse for it.

Tested the MJ fuel pressure. Has 22psi instead of 14psi for some reason. Also, not producing a lot of vacuum below 1600rpms. Adjusted my idle to 1600 to sit at 18Hg steady. Need to check my cam lobes and cam timing. Below 1600, she only has 10Hg

Thats what I was trying to indirectly point out. Not the fact that there is a gap. I already took the top nut off at that point. Threads are good still.

Yeah, that's not the way it works.
