Not that I would a clue but somebody once told me that you could see enough through the fill hole with a penlight. And I am sure all you know what a factory limited slip looks like but I posted a shot I have for reference. I want to know what I am looking at if I ever find one.
That's a factory corporate limited slip? It looks a lot like an open diff carrier and spiders?

Covers with the threaded plug tend to have more metal pushed in farther from stamping around the lip so that they can cut a few more threads into it. Those are sometimes hard to peek around because of depth and view angle.

Added my grille emblem. Transform and rise up!
When and if you pull the cover, get some of that additive for limited slip units, GM misled me about using synthetic in mine. Just added that stuff to mine and there is a world of difference Shouldn't hurt a open rear, but don't take that as "law". NAPA handles that additive!
