What did you do to your Cherokee today?

Swapped the cracked driver's side front sill plate with one from the '98. Attached floor mat holder to the carpet. Replaced driver's side bolt with door pin from the '98 (door still won't hold itself open). Rerouted subwoofer wiring under the carpet and plastic trim for installation of box in the cargo space wall cavity (right side). Ordered a heater actuator.

Cleaned out the cooling system best I could and filled it up with fresh coolant. Old crap was looking real brown and nasty

Not what you want to see when you park at a store on the way home after a 9 hour training session. Apparently the electric fan was ever so slightly rubbing on the transmission cooler feed line one part of the fan's frame has a break and allows a small amount of movement. Apparently it was just enough to contact that line. It ruptured somewhere betwern I30 and the walmart neighborhood market dumping a gallon of DexIII all over the place.
Luckily the wife was home and came to my rescue so i didnt have to walk all over town. a gallon of DexIII and a line splice later i rolled to the pay and spray and hosed all the trans fluid off the Jeep.

Replaced the Clutch master cylinder assembly. The master was leaking out the pushrod end and making a mess. When I pulled it all out the slave cylinder was also starting to crack at the line fitting. What a difference after it was changed, from a soft spongy pedal to a nice firm one.

So I am one step closer to getting my Ext. Idle switch hooked up.
Spent some time in the boneyard grabbing a wire to duplicate what the guy in this video did.
And of course had to grab the fog lighter connector/pigtail behind the blank in the donor Jeep too.
For another project that might or might not happen.

I also had a transmission cooler line break yesterday, dumping oil out. So today got it replaced, added ATF and some coolant that was missing, and figured out why the low beams didn't work. And she is on the road again... :-)
She just came back from repairs after a fender bender (my dear sister in law).. Got her repainted. Before pics...

Started removing the leaf springs for my suspension overhaul on my 97. Everything was going fine until the forward-most bolt to the frame. It is seriously frozen to the sleeve but is free from the weld nut. I decided to just cut it out (really didn't want to - now I have to hunt down a replacement). Got one side cut, but my angle grinder is too big for side closest to the frame. Reckon I need to get a sawzall.

So today is my semi-annual cleaning of the interior.
Get it vacuumed, wiped down, and detailed.
I use the word detailed loosely.

Drive my YJ to work for the first time at my new job. Not everyone on Fort Meade approved, and I got some weird looks parking it at a government agency headquarters building lol

Not that you can tell from the pictures but all nice and shiny inside.
Even smells good too.
