Found an Echlin CPS from the local NAPA. Now the CEL is not lit and my wallet is $117.48 lighter.

If this one gives me another CEL, I'll just learn to live with it, I think.

Replaced a burned out tail light bulb and attached my second license plate to the front bumper.

Going to be curious about how you handle painting the springs.
So please post with pictures. LOL.
If I ever do that Up Country suspension I keep talking about am going to want to try and do something to slow them down from rusting.
I know the surface rust does not really effect them but.........

Picked up my custom radiator for the MJ. A buddy owns a small fab shop down here and builds race cars, swamp buggies and airboat parts. Built it dual core and all aluminum.

That is impressive. Thinking even with the friend and family discount that was not cheap.

And I take back the not being cheap part. LOL.
I want to say that for the rebranded Spectra I bought at Napa I paid $80.
I would have kicked in an extra $40 for that in a heartbeat.

I think most companies powdercoat their springs which seems to hold up well.

Wonder what kind of factory finish there was on my springs.
They are surface rusted. I threw some POR 15 on them when under there
doing other stuff last year. I think I gave them a quick wire brush. Maybe.
Will check this year but my thinking is that from flexing, in my case just DD, that
it will have all cracked off.

Talking

I just painted mine last night , they are Zone and they come powder coated (most good suspension parts do) bucket of soapy water #180 grit wet or dry , 10 minuets then red 3m scuff pad and paint, then while they are still tacky some clear coat.left one partly sanded just make sure you get the gloss off, and the clear is an option but I have been a body and paint man for 30 + years, clear is a good thing...EDIT: dont forget to put down cardboard I have to clean my floor now. it's kinda red. never thought 1 rattle can could do that but it is also good paint spend some money on good paint... I recommend 2x rust-o-leum or better. If you have a spray gun and money a two part enamel or epoxy is best...

The upper looks like it was rewelded. The door when fully opened, and try to lift it there is no movement, but when partially open is when you can lift it and feel the looseness and of course when closing it.
