Not bad for not having a polisher applied to it. I'll have to find some other threads here. Detailing is my passion lately.

I will take that as a compliment. Thank you.
When you guys post your shots and give a run through of what you did I ask questions.
I see it as a learning opportunity. Cause my skills are slim and none. Would not mind improving
them.
I did take the time to Google the chemicals you said you used.
Don't get wrong after seeing your work I get it.
But the price tag on the M110 and M210 was up there.
And it really isn't spending the money so much as wasting the money. Just in my case.
Sure tools help. But the best tools, OK in this case chemicals, in the world are not going
make up for lack of skill. LOL.
But who knows what I will do come April. Might just break down and spend the money
anyway.

The replacement pins and bushings for the Cherokee's doors came in today so hopefully I'll have time this weekend to get them installed. The door started sagging pretty bad so I hope I haven't worn into the hinge itself and it's just the pin/bushing worn out.

Absolutely a compliment. These things are typically used as intended so when they are able to look that good it's not by accident.

Products can get pricey for sure. It's what I do though so I have plenty. Here's "Old Blue" all cleaned up and finally ready for some new shoes which go on Monday and then I have to look at the steering box which leaves me a few small drops of fluid now and then. Haven't worked on one but if I have to pull the whole thing out I may as well look at just replacing it given it's the original. Stay tuned for that.

Finish wise, I tested out Mothers new CMX SiO2/TiO2 Coating. It's more of a consumer coating but I love testing new stuff. Nice products. Will be my test mule for it given it's about to live the life of a driveway vehicle soon. Coated the black-bits with GYEON's Q2 TRIM and the glass with McKee's 37 Glass coating.

You do realize when you post stuff like this I have ask questions right? LOL.

So the Mothers new CMX SiO2/TiO2 Coating is after the M110 and M210?

What did you think of the GYEON's Q2 TRIM?

Cause that is one thing that does bug me. Faded black trim.
In my case bumper caps and door handles also.
I have not really found anything that I like to handle it.
My last try was Mother's Back to Black. Tried it by hand and was not really satisfied.
Then I had the bright idea to buy a little buffing pad set up for a drill hoping if I worked it
in better it might work better. Not really.

My '00 is just a Sport. Spend my time turning it into your Jeep. Been installing all the options she did not come with.
Even have some Icon rims I sourced to hopefully get on at some point in time.
This is just my personal preference. While I am OK with fender flares painted to match I don't like the side molding
and bumper caps painted to match like the higher end models like yours. Not really sure why though.
To solve the problem of the side molding I had it Line-X'ed. And that was an afterthought. I picked up some factory
running boards but they were green and needed them to be black. It was cheaper to get them Line-X'ed then painted.
So since they were doing the work I threw in the molding, rear mud flaps, and the roof skid strips.
What I did not anticipate is how much I would like the bedlined look. Now I want to bedline everything. Problem is going
back to Line-X will get pricey. Sorry I did not bedline the stuff myself. Because if I try to do other stuff myself I know it will not match
and my OCD will go into overdrive. But if I can't keep the bumper caps from looking faded it will bug me and might have to bedline
them too.

I was watching a car show once and they did a segment of cleaning all the grit and polishing the glass.
Amazing how much crap you can feel on there when you run your hand over it with a sandwich baggy on it.
I decided to give some cheap Rain-X stuff a try for this. Came out smooth as a baby's bottom but it was not long
before a bunch of crap could be felt on the windshield again. Guessing my mistake was not using a glass polish after.
Maybe try it again and use the McKee's 37 Glass coating.

I don't know if I missed it but did you clay the car?

Your Jeep looks great.

Ordered two, 10-hole Comanche wheels from Ebay since I'm in a pinch; one of my new-used mismatched wheels did not ft.
Replaced the remaining bushings on the front sway bar, replaced front bump stops, isolators, all 4 shocks, rear leaf springs and shackles, and steering stabilizer. Replaced the u-bolts and 4 of the leaf spring bolts (should have ordered 2 more). Removed the 2-inch coil spacers in front. Put my new-used wheels on with my new 235 Bridgestone Blizzaks. Greased the bushings. Attempted to replace front left wheel bearing but now waiting on the correct part grrrr. Inspected the rear drum brakes. And in order to fully appreciate her new look, took her to the car wash. Then my doors promptly froze shut ha.

Do you have a link to them? My drivers door on my 94 two door is sagging enough it's starting to mess up the striker pin.

These may only work for the 97+ since they changed the hinge style. My Comanche pins are much smaller.

I threw more parts at the wife's WJ. I've been trying to find/ stop the clunking in the rear suspension for the last month or so. I replaced the rear upper and lower coil spring isolators today. I'll test drive it tomorrow and we shall see. The only things that haven't been replaced are the shocks (maybe have 15k on them) and lower control arms.

Put this guy in today. Happy to get the crossmember and TC up where they belong but of course I went from 0 vibration to noticeably vibrating at 25-35. Once I get the chance I’ll find out how much I need to shim. Then put the TC skid on.

I ordered some Taylor Cable Thundervolt 8.2mm spark plug wires. I've heard and read a ton of good things about them so hoping all the claims are true. We'll see on Wednesday...

Not today but over the course of the last week.
Bought the cleanest XJ I could find cheap, it's an 87 with the 2.5. Took the trans out to do the clutch and slave cylinder. Waiting for parts...

Now i have to stop being lazy and weld the other Jeep back together for mud season.

Do you know of anyplace that makes them for the earlier years? I've looked and the only ones I've found look like nothing more than shear pins.

New Shoes Installed. Also installed a new battery since the old one was 5yrs old and while still going okay, I didn't want any issues. Now I can clean up and coat the wheels and may look into some sidebars or a step to help dress it up a bit. Not sure yet.

BEFORE:

AFTER: I'm definitely happy with the look

I've never really heard of too much issue with the door pins. Most of the time it's the door hinge itself ripping off the body.
