I wanted a 16" wheel to reduce sidewall as much as possibly while keeping a nice looking Jeep wheel while avoiding spacers. I also like the wider rim and the lower backspacing for a wider stance. That's why I went with the tj Moab's over the icons.

Scooped up some Icons yesterday for my '99 using my '97. Fit five wheels and tires nicely in the back. The TuffNet really made this nice and kept them from moving around on the mountain roads (400+ mile road trip to get these).
Cleaned up a bit. They have some curb rash here and there, but they'll be on "the rig" so it's fine.
265/75/R16s are next. I'm thinking of trying ATZs this time.

Nice! How much lift are you running? Looks like 4.5 to 5.5"

Headlight delay module went bad I think. Makes an aggravating buzzing noise and the (led) headlights flicker and it makes a weak *** sounding buzzing noise when I play with the multifunction stalk
Thought my XJ was possessed for a minute, lol

Changed the power steering fluid again. Going to keep doing the resiviour until I get clean fluid in the system.
And replaced the drivers side door check the old OEM unit was unsalvagable. Gottareplced the passenger side too but wanted to see what I thought of this CROWN replacement first.
At least one back door will need one in the near future.
Also reorganized the cargo box in my cargo area.

What do you think of the Crown door check? I need to do that also. Last I looked the Mopar part was also available and I was debating on which way to go. Any tricks to doing the replacement?

The Crown unit seems solidly built and made from good components. Time will tell.
I greased the mechanism up real well they didnt put a lot of grease in there from the factory. Putting the door check in took less time than pulling the door card. Lining up the pin and arm was a little fiddly my pin was missing from this door so I replaced it with a Doorman pin. I just drove it in with a wood nailing hammerlike I was driving a nail and it went right in.
I didnt even think of the washers none of my XJs have ever had them but it may help keep the arm from moving around to much decreasing wear on the check.
