Man, I've tried every orientation variable imaginable. It looks like I either need to grind off one of the rabbit ears or drill a new hole in the distributor plastic. It seems to want to orient itself somewhere in the middle of the two holes.
I ordered a timing chain set as I was planning on doing this anyways...in case I dicked up my actual chain somehow. I'll keep trying in the meantime after work tomorrow as you suggest. Maybe I'm not being patient enough.

Finally got around to replacing my IAC. Figure it's about time to smooth out my idle, It's been a little low lately with the cold (hovering at 666.) Anyhow, install went smooth but then on first run I smelled gas and of course that injector o-ring is leaking at the rail again... I've been battling this since installing the bigger injectors. My rail is pitted enough in the sleeve that gas weeps out around the o-ring. Last I had it out i sanded it down, replaced o-ring and called it good until now. If anyone has one that will fit my '01 lying around hmu or find my wanted post over in member marketplace

I picked up a gallon and extended spray wands, used my bed liner spray gun to apply.
Hit inside rails and hard places with wands..then spray the rest.
A tip to ppl doing this.. Make sure the rig is super dry..Even if you have to let the rig sit somewhere warm for a few days to let it dry out.. I mean it,, you want this stuff to seep and wick into all the hidden spaces.. Its like penetrating oil in someways to where it will crawl into everything.
This stuff is not like normal undercoating rubber stuff. It wont work good or penetrate ares that are wet.
Plus you dont want to trap moisture,,right??

Replaced the OEM lock/unlock system with the REC-43T unit and works like a charm and now we have new remotes. :-)
Unrelated, The rear hatch is closed and won't open, have to do the fix (doesn't seem hard to fix) and my reverse is acting weird (AT, slipping I think) :-(
