Stuck a mopar oil pressure sensor on it. Its reading correctly now
replaced he CHMSL bulbs they were both burnt out.
dissassembled and bled the front brakes the front passenger side was dragging so bad that they started smoking :l they're working now but I think I'll have to rebuild the front brakes or at least swap calipers I think the PO went with some cheapies
I've got a significant leak from the timing chain cover so I'll have to knock that out in the near future but I've got it to the point I'm ok with driving it back and forth to work

Replaced the epoxied together plug wires with new ones from NAPA. Pulled the HAM radio, pistol holster, and antenna from my current vehicle to install on the XJ. Installed the HAM radio on the XJ but the pistol holster will have to wait till I figure out what I want to do. I also replaced the weak burnt out horns that were on the Jeep with a Stebel Nautilus (self contained air horn), that I had on the shelf for a motorcycle.
I forgot how much I hate doing electrical work :/

Not today but yesterday, replaced the spark plugs and fluids from the transfer case and both differentials on the '01 Sport.
The '01 Limited threw a P1389 trouble code a couple weeks back. Made sure the ground contacts were clean and replacing the ASD relay and some fuses did not resolve the issue. Neither did replacing the crankshaft position sensor or the camshaft sensor. Got frustrated with my search so I had the jeep towed to the local dealership.

Went out today and swapped out the OE DJ aux fan for the small one I was using on the other radiator because the xj fan was too thick. Didn't leave enough room in between it and the alternator to run an intake tube. At some point I'll need to fab up a proper shroud for the fans and maybe upgrade the auxfan to something with more cam depending on how it performs in Texas heat with the a/c running

New distributor and I still am having the worst time finding the correct TDC. The markings on the OEM harmonic balancer are VERY hard to read and I'm having to guestimate. I can't see in #1 to visually verify so I'm using the finger in the hole method but I can tell I'm a couple of degrees off. Occasionally it starts and runs with my foot in it, but never idles. Seems like the rotor never really points at the 5 O'clock position even when I finess the bolt into position via the crankshaft bolt. Kinda stumped.
I have a mobile mechanic coming to me on Tuesday but I would rather figure this out before then...and I HATE letting anyone else work on my rig. Still, this is my DD and timing is kinda important so...
