Picked it up and drove it to my west coast pad from San Diego. 1991, one owner, 107K miles. Excepting the dull paint, a few little paint chips, slightly bent front bumper, so clean and straight. Drives like new. Power and leather interior in great shape. I noticed an occasional misfire at hot idle but I’ll sort that out. This is in better shape than any I’ve seen this age. I’ll sell my ‘96 two-door when I get this back east.
Pretty happy with the purchase.

Was able to save this before they crushed the MJ it was on. Lund MJ specific visor. Haven't figured out what to do with it yet.

Yes it is!!! I be really tempted to just leave that girl as is.
Question though. Not being familiar with the early XJ's what's with the vertical oil filter?

The oil filter position can be changed, I beleive. I’m pretty sure I rotated the position of the adapter in my ‘89 when I changed the threaded adapter to the later model type. I’ll do the same on this.

I’m going to make a rear tire carrier bumper. Eventually a stock looking stealthy front winch bumper because a winch is handy. Detroit True Track in the 8.25 rear. Not much else. My ‘89 is my toy. This is gonna be my daily driver hopefully for the next 20 years!

No, the vehicle was literally sitting inside the crusher machine when I was pulling the visor. That's how much time I had to get that thing off. That and some idiot put Torx bolts on the tail lights. So I can only save one thing I chose the visor
