Pretty happy with the purchase.

Southern California? Low milage? Clean AF? Bro I hope you sold your left leg so you can at least still drive the thing!

107K miles, and well taken care of. Clean everything. Still have all limbs and I’m gonna drive the s**t out of it.

Cheers!

You should be. That looks so clean. Thing that caught my eye is how easy it is going to be to replace the blower motor if you ever have too. Remember when it used to be a 10 minute job on most cars way back when?

Sell it and become rich beyond your wildest imagination. Did you save anything else off of the Comanche?

Yes it is!!! I be really tempted to just leave that girl as is.

Question though. Not being familiar with the early XJ's what's with the vertical oil filter?

I won’t change it much. It’s got 17” rims on it, I’ll paint em black. I’ll put in the Crown Auto 2” budget lift. Bilsteins. Probably a SYE because I think it’s a useful upgrade. I’m going to make a rear tire carrier bumper. Eventually a stock looking stealthy front winch bumper because a winch is handy. Detroit True Track in the 8.25 rear. Not much else. My ‘89 is my toy. This is gonna be my daily driver hopefully for the next 20 years!

The oil filter position can be changed, I beleive. I’m pretty sure I rotated the position of the adapter in my ‘89 when I changed the threaded adapter to the later model type. I’ll do the same on this.

I need to change the adapter on my Comanche, but it kinda works fine for now. I was going to try and upload a cool stock looking winch bumper build I saw, but can't get photos to upload still.

No, the vehicle was literally sitting inside the crusher machine when I was pulling the visor. That's how much time I had to get that thing off. That and some idiot put Torx bolts on the tail lights. So I can only save one thing I chose the visor
